Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has weighed in on the debate between two football icons, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
For many football enthusiasts, Ronaldo and Messi stand as the greatest players to grace the sport. Despite nearing the end of their careers, both continue to perform at a high level, boasting a combined total of over 800 goals for club and country.
Ronaldo and Messi have represented some of the most prestigious clubs in football and have amassed numerous major titles.
Both superstars have ventured beyond Europe, with Ronaldo signing for Saudi Arabian powerhouse Al-Nassr in December 2022, and Messi joining MLS outfit Inter Miami.
Arteta has made his preference clear, favoring Messi. He revealed that even his three sons admire the Argentine.
"It's always been Lionel Messi," Arteta stated. "For my three sons, it's the same. We've been fortunate to witness the presence of the greatest player of all time. For me, he is unparalleled."
