EFCC has detained Bobrisky on suspicion of misusing Naira funds

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended the controversial celebrity cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, on allegations of currency mutilation and Naira abuse.

Confirming the arrest, EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale stated that Bobrisky was detained at Pinnock Estate in Lagos State on Wednesday.

He further mentioned that Bobrisky would soon face charges in court.

Oyewale stated, "Bobrisky is currently in our custody. He was apprehended last night in Lagos and is being held at our Lagos command.

"We arrested him for alleged offenses including the abuse of Naira notes, spraying of Naira notes, and currency mutilation, among others.

"We are committed to upholding the integrity of the Naira. While our investigation is ongoing, he will undoubtedly face charges in court soon."
