Actress Ngozi Ezeonu refutes death rumors, confirming she is alive and in good health
Nollywood veteran, Ngozi Ezeonu, has dismissed false reports of her demise. She used her Instagram account to post a video addressing the rumor.
She clarified that her previous post featuring a candle was a tribute to a recently departed friend. Expressing her dismay, Ezeonu criticized bloggers for using it to spread false narratives of her death. The actress cautioned against propagating unverified death rumors and emphasized the importance of confirmation before dissemination.
Ezeonu stated, "I lost a very close friend of mine, I posted a candle, a half-burnt candle, and they now put my picture on that candle, and everybody is saying that I died. It is wrong. I am alive and healthy, please. In journalism, what you do when in doubt is you leave out. If you cannot get across to the person to at least confirm the story, you don’t post. Don’t do that, please. Don’t try it again. This is a new year, why would anybody want to hurt each other just because they want people to follow them?"
Ngozi Ezeonu is a seasoned actress renowned for her adept portrayal of maternal characters in Nollywood films.
The performer has graced over 150 films, including notable titles such as 'Nneka The Pretty Serpent' and 'Glamour Girls,' among others.
