DJ Cuppy expresses regret over accepting ex-fiance Ryan Taylor's proposal
Nigerian disc jockey, Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, revealed that she had one of the most challenging years of her life last year due to not saying "No" often. She specifically expressed regret over not declining the proposal from her now estranged fiance, Ryan Taylor. Speaking at a recent event abroad, DJ Cuppy emphasized the importance of realizing that it's okay to say "No."
He mentioned, "One of the things I have learned is saying no. I had one of the worst years of my life last year because I couldn’t say no. I didn’t decline opportunities that I should have. I didn’t reject a fiance I should’ve refused. I didn’t decline additional responsibilities.
“I had a morning breakfast show at the BBC; I was DJing, planning a wedding, and studying at Oxford University. I burnt myself out. None of us is good to ourselves or others when burnt out. So, we have to manage the guilt that comes with saying no. It’s okay to decline.”
Cuppy and Ryan ended their engagement in July 2023, just seven months after their surprising engagement in November 2022.
