Access Bank promotes creative funding approaches for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Access Bank Plc has been at the forefront in urging corporate organizations to adopt innovative financing models and form strategic partnerships to advance the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Ralph Opara, Group Head of the Commercial Banking Division at Access Bank, delivered the message at the 2024 Medic West Africa Event. The event, organized by ABCHealth in partnership with Informa Markets, was themed, "Healthcare Investments in Africa: Mobilizing the Private Sector to Drive Healthcare Investments in Africa."

Contributing to the discussion, Opara remarked, “The government can't shoulder the health sector's burden alone. Therefore, it's crucial for the private sector to explore and adopt innovative financing models and strategic partnerships to close the healthcare investment gap.”

He emphasized that collaboration between the public and private sectors is not just important but vital for fostering innovation, enhancing healthcare accessibility, and promoting sustainable development across the continent.
