Stanley Okorie created more than 10,000 songs

During his appearance on the Osikoya Speaks podcast hosted by Wonu Osikoya, veteran Nollywood soundtrack composer and singer Stanley Okorie revealed that he has crafted over 10,000 songs throughout his career.

The artist behind the popular track 'Billionaire (onye ji cash)' shared that he spent nearly four years creating music for Nollywood. However, he acknowledged that this dedication came with a cost, as it resulted in him neglecting his family due to the pressure of meeting deadlines.

Okorie revealed, "During a span of approximately four years, I was responsible for creating the entire music catalog for Nollywood. To date, I have composed and produced over 10,000 songs."

"It's quite a significant number. And let me tell you, it comes with the sacrifice of neglecting certain aspects of life. You don't have time for many things because you're so engrossed in your craft. You miss birthdays due to deadlines, and even wedding anniversaries used to upset my wife."

When asked about the possibility of his songs being remade, the experienced singer acknowledged that he is open to it, but he won't be the one doing the remakes.

He expressed that witnessing people dancing and singing along to songs he composed years ago demonstrates the immortality of art.
